Something Like A Renegade” is the debut album by pop singer Sabrina who gained international notoriety with the release of her controversial song “I Wanna Shoot Lady Gaga”. Both mega-influential media outlets Radar Online and MTV overseas issued several headline news reports following the release of the single, which sparked an explosive media campaign felt all around the world. News of the song spread quickly all throughout pop-culture and international tabloid news.
As the title suggests, the album is something like a renegade of its type as it rejects the typical mold of what has become the all-too-predictable pattern of today’s conventional pop records. Slick and refined where they wanted it to be, gritty and rustic when they wanted it to be and undeniably soulful when not at all expected, the final half of the album transitions into a well-executed, perfectly vintage nod to the unpolished vinyl sound of the 50′s Motown era.
Recorded literally all over the world, the album weaves surprising elements of different cultures throughout, incorporating some of the most popular international sounds and musical styles from places such as Europe, Sweden, Canada, England and Australia. The singer’s silky-smooth voice adds continuity to the record and pulls it all together, resulting in a blend of cutting-edge mainstream pop with a worldwide urban and hip-hop and dubstep influence.

“Sabrina has a rich, husky voice that rains down on the eardrum. Fitting in between the heartiness of Tina Marie and the sultry appeal that Pink! first wooed with, Sabrina’s voice also carries one hell of a punch.”

“Rising soul starlet”. “There’s no question that there are big things ahead for Sabrina.”
